Brief Information about the club:

We are located at Manningtree on the river Stour, Essex, and we have just over 300 members. Our interests include cruiser and dinghy racing, sail training and cruising.

Manningtree makes an excellent base for cruising the rivers of the East Coast and across the North Sea and some of our members have cruised as far afield as the Baltic States and crossed the Atlantic.

Visitors are few but increasing as they get to know about this small attractive town that has all you need close at hand, including pubs, restaurants, shops, banks and a train service to London.

Those who sail into Mistley but then go the extra half mile to Manningtree will find a visitors mooring or short-term quayside berth, and a warm welcome at the clubhouse

Manningtree is also on the doorstep of the Dedham Vale. Above Manningtree the river becomes non-tidal. A small craft such as a canoe can reach Sudbury, about 30 miles further inland.
