OTHER CLUB BUSINESS
We have had some complaints over access to the East slipway being hindered by cars being parked there blocking access. Please keep the area free at times when you can see people may want to get their boats in/out. I know it is not necessarily Club Members but please be aware.
WE HAVE RECEIVED THE FOLLOWING;
The Woolverstone Project provides sailing opportunities and tuition for those with disabilities with sailing throughout the year at Alton Water and during the summer months at Woolverstone. We welcome sailing/powerboat helms/crew and land based volunteers and people with disabilities who would enjoy the chance to become sailors with us once we are back on the water again.
Instead of our usual activities we are now raising money in aid of the Project and every donation will help. Members of the Project team are taking part in a 24 hour virtual sailing regatta along with a team of our volunteers and sailors. During 24 hours (non-stop) we will be taking part in 72 virtual races – all being run on the Virtual Regatta platform. We will be competing against teams from all over the UK – sailing clubs, universities, schools and individuals.
