The ‘new normal’!
Hopefully you will have received the procedures we are asking you to follow after lift-in now that those who want to get out on the water can now do so whilst still following Government guidelines.
I just want to add to that there will be a first-aid box available in the oar shed as the clubhouse will be in lockdown.
As the defibrillator is also in the clubhouse I want to point out that the nearest one is located near the memorial statue in the High Street.
As the situation changes then I will, of course, let you know.
I am sure you won’t be surprised to hear that the Regatta has been cancelled.
Membership Renewals – final request – please complete and return your membership renewals asap if you have not already done so yet. If you have paid but not sent your renewal form Jenny still needs to check what facilities you are paying for. The form can be emailed, posted or put through the clubhouse letterbox. This needs to be completed by the end of June for your current membership to remain in place.
If anyone wants to renew but is unable to do for any reason whatsoever in the current circumstances please contact Jenny on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Kelvin Howlett is resigning as the Sailing Secretary – not immediately but at the end of the season, after lift-out.
Kelvin is conscious that work on next years cruising calendar starts at the beginning of the year and knows that if he does get involved in that he will be obliged to see it through to 2021.
Therefore, if anyone would like to chat over the role please take the time to talk to Kelvin and I am certain he will support the person taking over. The annual cruising schedule is vital for the club and enjoyed by many of our members.
I would like to take the opportunity to thank Kelvin for his commitment and dedication over the years to the Club and to cruising.
Lift in was completed without any problems I am pleased to report – thanks to everyone involved.
If you have any concerns, questions, etc please let me know.
Stay safe out there and look after yourselves.
