This year’s Manningtree Town Regatta, hosted by Stour Sailing Club will take place on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th August. High Water is 16:23 on Saturday and 16:55 on Sunday. We are once again planning a packed programme of activities! There will be Sail Racing both days, and other activities on the water including rowing, with opportunities to ‘have a go’. On Saturday evening the traditional regatta fireworks will light up the estuary with a fantastic view from the Town Beach and the Walls. Then on Sunday morning we are expecting a Royal visit as Neptune returns to oversee the low water Mud Sports – including the races across the river, and the Tug of War for men’s and women’s teams. And of course the Children’s Beach Takeover with games and activities for children and the children’s beach tug of war. Last year the Regatta took place in wet and soggy conditions and so we have put in an order for sunshine and fair winds this year. We will provide further information on the website and also on Facebook (Manningtree Town Regatta, and Stour Sailing Club) as plans progress.
