After the start of the Sail Races on Saturday and Sunday the sailing fleet clears the water in front of the Town Beach and most of the racing is further down the estuary.

That leaves the water from the Walls to the Bridges at Cattawade free for other water sports and we want to make the most of it before the tide goes out again!

On Saturday 16th July the Club’s Harker’s Yard Rowing Gigs ‘William Rose’ and ‘Hunter’ and crews will be taking part in some ‘friendly’ sprint races along the Walls and back finishing in full view of Spectators on the Beach.  The first rowing race will follow the final start in the Sailing Pursuit Race around 1.30pm with the start and finish on the Club Start Line – in front of the Starting Hut.

On Sunday 17th July we will be holding a fun Kayak race – start will be around 2.45pm – whether you are an experienced kayaker or more of a novice come along with your Kayak and have fun on the water.

There will also be a fun Paddleboard race on  Sunday 17th July after the Kayaking bring your own paddleboard!

On Saturday and Sundays afternoons there will also be a chance to ‘have a go’ at Stand-Up Paddle Boarding, and also Traditional Sculling (after the close of the sail racing). On Sunday afternoon there will also be a chance to ‘have a go’ at Kayaking.
