Joining the Stour Sailing Club

New members are very welcome!

Membership of the club is open to anyone that is actively interested in the sport of sailing and other associated water born activities from racing to fishing, but please note, we do not have purely 'social' memberships.

We have a strong rowing contingent, as well as those that enjoy Canoes, Kayaks, Paddle boards, Sailing Dinghies, Motor Cruisers and of course fishing, which can be done from any of those!

Application are considered regardless of sex, age, disability, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, religion or other beliefs - membership may however be limited according to available facilities on a non-discriminatory basis.

Please click on the links below to access conventional application forms, which will need to be printed out and posted (or scanned and then emailed). Alternatively, a far better way to apply is via our online application form.

NB. The online process is very straightforward, and will first ask you to create an account (if you don't already have one) which includes necessary contact details etc (otherwise we don't know who you are!).

If you already know someone from the club that has been a member for at least 3 years, obtaining a Proposer and Seconder should be straightforward, if not, please fill in the form as far as you can and we will sort it out for you. Normally, if you have no Proposer or Seconder, we will ask to meet with you and chat through what you want from the club and what we can offer you - we can then propose and second your application for you.

The club is run by volunteers so where possible we will encourage new members to join the throng of existing members to help with the running of the club - it's usually great fun, the best way to get to know others and become part of a great organisation!
