Balhaven - 40th Anniversary Race
Balhaven 40th Anniversary Wrabness Races Sunday 30 August - come and join us!
Balhaven, the Wrabness hut owners' association, is celebrating its 40th anniversary over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Martin and Jenny Pavey are going to run some on-water races on Sunday 30th August in conjunction with Stour Sailing Club and club members are invited to take part in the racing as well as Balhaven members.
There will be an average lap dinghy race (same format as our President's Race) starting at 12 noon (HW Harwich is 14.02) and taking an hour or so, followed by a Canoe/Kayak/SUP race from the east end huts to the west end huts finishing with a sprint up to a race desk on the beach.
There will be separate pennant prizes for various categories for both adult and Junior SSC members and Balhaven members who take part.
An entry form, details of the Dinghy Race and the Kayak/Canoe/SUP and a Parental Consent form can be found on the Sailing Club website/attached to this email (Caroline - please delete whichever is appropriate).
Please return entry forms and parental consent forms if appropriate or any questions to jenny.pavey@btinternet.com by Friday 28 August so handicaps can be sorted by the race officer.
